Salim Razı is a lecturer at the English Language (ELT) Teaching Department of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University (COMU), Turkey. Previously he was employed as an English language teacher by Ministry of National Education. Following this he was employed as a research assistant and later on as an instructor of English at the ELT Department of COMU. He obtained his PhD degree in the field of ELT from Dokuz Eylül University in 2010. In his postgraduate studies, he studied ‘nativization and cultural schema’ and ‘metacognitive reading strategies’. He has published on nativization, teaching and assessing reading, metacognitive reading strategies, teaching and assessing academic writing, detecting and avoiding plagiarism, listening activities, teaching culture and intercultural communicative competence, and research culture. More recently, his research interest focuses revealing the impact of anonymous peer review in a digital online environment.
